The movie is a vibration conveyor of force type.
Types of vibration conveyor
Power sources of vibration conveyor are roughly divided into two types.
1.Vibration motor (vibrator) type
2.General purpose motor type

This type is also divided into two types.
1)Force type
2)Resonant type
1)Force type
Two vibration motors are attached directly to trough which conveys materials. Since vibration is transmitted to the trough directly, strongly adhesive material also can be conveyed smoothly. As the attached position of vibration motors, two motors are attached to the right and left side of trough horizontally.
Its structure is simple and a trough that two vibration motors attached is put upon coiled springs. The trough needs to be strongly-built since it is vibrated directly.
There are two main characteristics of it as below.
1. Structure is simple and maintenance is not necessary.
2. Amplitude is large, so its vibration easily transmitted to floor and other equipment.
Adjustment for the amount of carried materials is done by adjustment for the weight of vibration motor, and it is the same for resonant type.
However, the weight must be the same for the two motors. When the conveyor is stopped, large vibration is always generated because it passes through resonant point. To avoid it, there is a method which is stopping the two vibration motors at the same time forcedly before passing through resonant point by an inverter starting forced brake. In that case, capacity of inverter must be larger than rated capacity since current value gets larger when it stops.
One of the characteristics of this force type which is different from other vibration conveyors is that it is possible to convey materials even it has certain level of adhesiveness.
2) Resonant type
Trough to convey material and frame to hold the vibration motor are separated and only one vibration motor is attached to the frame which has spring vibration isolators. Trough is held by springs and flat steel shaped levers which transfer the vibration. Flat springs can be used instead of the levers as well. When vibration motor is started, its vibration is transferred to trough and the materials are conveyed.
Vibration motor is attached sideways to conveying direction. Adjustment for the amount of carried materials is done by adjustment for the weight of vibration motors.
There are three main characteristics of it as below.
1. Large amount of materials can be conveyed with a small motor.
The source of vibration is only one vibration motor.
2.Amplitude is small
Amplitude of vibration is smaller compared with the other vibration conveyor.
3. Noise is small
Small amplitude suggests that noise generated by main body of the conveyor is also small.
For this resonant conveyor, large vibration is always generated as well when the it is stopped, because it passes through resonant point. To avoid it, there is a method which is stopping the two vibration motors at the same time forcedly before passing through resonant point by an inverter starting forced brake.
